MXC Set for New Balance Vic Matthews Open

Eagles will travel to Guelph, Ontario this weekend
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — After taking a week off from competition, the Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team will head to Guelph, Ontario this Saturday, Oct. 15 for the New Balance Vic Matthews Open hosted by the University of Guelph.
This weekend will represent the Green and White's first appearance in the open. Last season, the event featured a variety of club teams as well as squads from University of Guelph, University of Windsor, University of Toronoto, Queen's University, University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, South Simcoe Dufferin, Humber College, York University, Trent University and Ryerson University. Gueph took first in the open, scoring 28 points and placing three runners in the top four positions.
This Saturday's 7,500-meter race is slated for a 12:15 p.m. start.
