Cam Burke Tied for Fourth Place at the USF Invitational

DADE CITY, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team carded another round of three-over par 291 on the second day of the USF Invitational. The Eagles sit in 10th place, just one shot behind ninth place Campbell at the 7,153 yard, par-72 Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
Senior Cam Burke (Baden, Ontario-Waterloo Secondary) has fired back-to-back rounds 70 to sit in a tie for fourth place. Junior Brad Larente (Cambridge, Ontario-Hespeler Secondary) is tied for 19th place with a 144 (71-73). Senior Brandon Lemons (Portage, Mich.-Portage Central) turned in a pair of 74s for 42nd place, while senior Marty Jeppesen (Saline, Mich.-Saline) and sophomore Zach MacDougall (Coquitlam, British Columbia -Centennial) rounded out the lineup with a 150 (76-74) and a 158 (79-79), respectively.
Florida Southern College climbed one spot to first place at seven-under-par, with Middle Tennessee State five stokes behind with one round to go. Florida Southern's Matt Stauch took a commanding lead in round two as he enters day three at 11-under-par, with a six stroke lead on second place.
