Kent State University leads the way after posting a two-under 574 (294-280) at the par 72, 6,994 yard Brickyard Crossing Golf Course.

Thursday's first round was delayed due to rainy weather conditions and players ended up teeing off at 10:15 a.m. with a shotgun start. The first day of action featured two 18-hole rounds with 18 more on Saturday and 18 on Sunday.

The Golden Flashes hold a six-stroke lead heading into day two, that total includes holding down the tournament's top three slots.
