Game one against Ohio is set for 4 p.m. Friday, April 10, at Oestrike Stadium.

YPSILANTI, Mich. – After a record breaking day against Bowling Green State University, April 8, the Eastern Michigan University baseball team is set to host the Ohio University Bobcats, April 10-12, at Oestrike Stadium. Originally scheduled for 6:05 p.m., game one is now slated for 4 p.m., while games two and three are scheduled for 3:05 p.m. and 1:05 p.m., respectively.

WALLY WORLD: EMU redshirt freshman Wally Gerbus tied a Mid-American Conference record and set an EMU single game record by hitting four home runs against BGSU, April 8. Gerbus finished 4-for-5 with eight RBI and five runs scored in the 27-7 win over the Falcons. Gerbus tied Ball State's Brad Miller, BGSU's Andy Tracy, and Miami's Michael Carlin for the conference single-game record. Carlin's four homers happened against EMU, May 23, 2002. Gerbus' 16 total bases against BGSU tie Andy Tracy and Brad Miller for the second most all time in MAC history. His eight RBI are tied with several former MAC players for the third most in a single game in conference history.

RECORD BREAKING DAY: As a team, the Eagles belted nine home runs against BGSU, the most in a single game in school history. The Eagles' 27 runs set a single game record for the most runs scored against division one opponent, while their 28 hits are the most in a single game in school history. The most runs ever scored by an EMU team is 32 when the Eagles belted 26 hits en route to a 32-7 win over Siena Heights, March 21, 1997.

AT LOOK AT OHIO: After taking two out of three against Toledo last weekend in Athens to improve to 7-2 in the MAC, the Bobcats are coming off an 8-3 win over Shawnee State, April 8, in Athens. The team is led offensively by reigning National Player of the Week Marc Krauss, who is batting .418 with 13 home runs, 37 RBI, and 32 runs scored this season. Krauss has a team-best .827 slugging percentage.

LOOKING AHEAD: After facing the Bobcats, the Eagles host the Oakland University Grizzlies Tuesday, April 14, at Oestrike Stadium. The Eagles then hit the road for four games, beginning with a non-conference tilt against the University of Michigan Wolverines, April 15. EMU then travels to Kalamazoo for a MAC weekend series with Western Michigan, April 17-19. The team returns home April 22 to face the Cleveland State University Vikings at Oestrike Stadium.
