Stephany Fleet Tied for the Lead at UALR Women's Golf Classic

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Senior Stephany Fleet (Dewitt. Mich.-Dewitt) fired a 36-hole total of 146 (75-71) on the opening day of the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Golf Classic Monday, March 30, here at the Diamante Country Club. The Dewitt, Mich. native is tied with UMKC's Kelsey Kipp atop the leader board at two-over par, one stroke ahead of Central Arkansas' Nicole Forshner at 147.
As a team the Eagles are in fifth place with a two-round score of 627 (318-309) on the 6,200-yard, par-72 Diamante Country Club. Florida International leads at the 20 team invitational with a 615 (301-314) followed by Central Arkansas with a 620 (316-304). UALR (623), Oral Roberts (624) and EMU round out the tournament's top five.
Sophomore Darby Peters (Lake Orion, Mich.-Lake Orion) is tied for 10th place with a 153 (76-77) while Marjorie Thuot (Joliette, Ouebec-Therese-Martin) is tied for 42nd with a 161 (84-77). Senior Courtney Aili (Chelsea, Mich.-Chelsea) and sophomore Lina Pasquali (Kendallville, Ind.-East Noble) rounded out the lineup with a 167 and a 169, respectively.
The final round will begin Tuesday morning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
