Cross Country Competes at Michigan Intercollegiate

Rochester, Mich.--The Eastern Michigan University men’s cross country team tallied 75 points to earn a third place finish in the 8K race at the Michigan Intercollegiate Cross County Championship held at Oakland University Golf Course, Oct. 7. They also finished sixth in the 4K race with a total of 103 points. The Eastern Michigan women’s cross country team finished in sixth place with a total of 168 points in the 6K race and 12th with 224 points in the 4K race.

For the men, freshman Richard White (Hillsdale, Mich-Hillsdale) led the Eagles with a time of 25:47.5 in the 8K race while freshman David Brent (Monroe, Mich.-St.Mary Catholic Central) tallied a time of 12:03.6 in the 4K race.

On the women’s side, the Eagles were led by sophomore Consolata Kinsang (Eldoret, Kenya-Moi University) who finished ninth overall in the 6K race with a time of 22:57.9 and senior Lauren Snell (Medina, Ohio-Medina) who finished 17th in the 4K race with a time of 14:47.8.
