2009: Ran perhaps one of the toughest races at the MAC Championships, as a torrential downpour encompassed the area during the race, but she still managed to run 1:03.88, good for sixth place in the 400-meter hurdles…Also ran a solid season-best time of 24.83 in the 200-meter dash at the Hillsdale College ‘Gina’ Relays, while posting another season-best of 57.5 in the 400-meter dash at the same event… 2008: Outdoor: Top sprinter for the Eagles, running the fastest times in the 200 and 400 during 2008...Second in the 200-meter dash at the Hillsdale ‘Gina’ Relays (April 24-26), running 25.04...Ran the three fastest 400 times during 2008, including a fifth place finish at the MAC Championship (May 15-17) running 55.29...Also member of the 4x100 meter relay team that finished eighth at the MAC Championship and the 4x400-meter relay team that finished third with a season best time of 3:50.88...Won the 400 at the Len Paddock Invite (May 10), running 55.50...Indoor: Placed sixth in the 400 at the MAC Championship (Feb. 29-March 1) running 57.64...Member of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished third at the MAC Championship...Ran a career best in the 400 at the Meyo Invite (Feb. 8-9), running 57.06...High School: 2007 District Champion in 300-meter hurdles…Member of the 4x400-meter relay team that placed third at states in 2007...2005 State runner-up in 4x200-meter relay…In 2004, her 4x100-meter relay team placed third at the state competition…Had a personal-best of 43.98 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles and 55.9 seconds for the 400 meters…Personal: Full name: Dejaa Tierra Shearer...Daughter of Elizabeth Jackson...Has two brothers, Derrick Jackson and Dominique Shearer and one sister, Denaya Jackson…Born: 5-10-89…Major: Biology.
