PERSONAL: Full name: Tyrone E. Burke Jr....Son of Tyrone Burke Sr. and Kim Burke...Born 8-13-87...Business management major...Has one brother, Travon...EMU: Transferred from Milford (Conn.) Prep Academy in 2006...Sat out his first year, the 2006 season, as a redshirt freshman and has earned letters the past three seasons...Has played in 33 games, starting four times and has hauled in 30 passes for 468 yards with three touchdowns during his career...2009: Played in all 12 games, earning three starts, at Northern Illinois (Nov. 5), Toledo (Nov. 20) and Akron (Nov. 27)...Finished third on the team in receiving with 16 catches for 253 yards and one touchdown...Scored on a 48-yard pass from quarterback Alex Gillett at Toledo...Had five total catches in that Toledo contest for 79 yards...Also caught four passes for 77 yards with a long of 45 at home against Western Michigan (Nov. 14)...2008: Played in 10 games, missing two with an injury...Caught four passes for 14 yards...Named a Special Teams Eagle of the Week for the Bowling Green (Oct. 4) game...2007: Played in 11 games, starting once, at Ohio (Oct. 13)...Caught 10 passes for 184 yards and had two touchdown grabs...Caught a 35-yard touchdown strike from quarterback Andy Schmitt against Howard (Sept. 22) and added a 41-yard touchdown reception from Kyle McMahon at Michigan (Oct. 6)...Turned in a four-catch outing in the season finale at Central Michigan (Nov. 16) and had seven games with at least one reception...Earned single-game awards as a Championship Special Teams performer twice, against Toledo (Nov. 3) and Central Michigan (Oct. 16) and was also one of the two Practice Players of the Week for the Ball State (Sept. 8) game...2006: Participated in 2006 spring drills after transferring from Milford (Conn.)
