PERSONAL: Full name: Latarrius Antonio Thomas...Son of Harold Cox...Born 3-22-88...Communication major...EMU: Joined the team in January 2009 and participated in 2009 and 2010 spring drills while sitting out as a transfer from the University of Louisville...Played in just two games in 2010 before suffering a season-ending injury...Was awarded a medical hardship for the 2010 season and will be eligible to compete in the 2011 campaign...2010: Started in the first two games of the season, at home against Army (Sept. 4) and at Miami (Sept. 11) before missing the remainder of the season with an injury...Recorded 12 tackles in the Army game and added six against Miami...LOUISVILLE: Started as a true freshman in 2006 and played through the 2008 season for the Cardinals...Played in 23 total games, starting 11 times...Had 43 career tackles...HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Smyrna Beach H.S. in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. where he played football for Head Coach Howie DeChristofaro...Ranked one of Florida’s top 100 prospects as a senior...Selected to play in the Cali-Florida All-Star game...Was a two-year football starter and recorded 35 receptions for 500 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior...Was an All-Conference and All-County selection.
