Zuleyka Hukmasabiyya captured the lone win of the match in a three-set victory

MUNCIE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team suffered a 6-1 setback at Ball State University, April 3, in a Mid-American Conference match in Muncie, Ind. The Eagles, who have lost two consecutive matches, fell to 10-10 overall and 1-5 in MAC play while the Cardinals improved to 9-7 overall and 2-3 in league action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinals captured the doubles point for a 1-0 lead after taking wins at No. 1 and No. 3. The hosts would go on to claim wins in the first four singles matches to grab a 5-0 lead and clinch the team victory before the Eagles got on the board as Cylova Zuleyka Hukmasabiyya (Serang, Indonesia/SMAN 2 Kota Serang) won her match at No. 1 singles, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0(4). BSU closed out the match with the final singles win for the 6-1 score.

Zuleyka Hukmasabiyya continued her strong play at the top singles position as she has won back-to-back three-set matches after dropping the first set in both. She improved to 5-1 in MAC play this year with only a three-set loss at the University of Massachusetts her lone blemish.
