YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team earned a dramatic 4-3 victory over Western Michigan Friday, April 17, at Oestrike Stadium, capturing its 100th all-time win in the storied rivalry.

How it Happened
Eastern Michigan struck first in the bottom of the fourth, as Ty Stecko (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin/Mount St. Mary's) doubled and scored on an RBI two-bagger by Nick Weaver (Streamwood, Ill./Streamwood/Elgin C.C.), giving the Eagles a 1-0 lead. Western Michigan responded in the top of the fifth when Cooper Hums belted a two-run homer, temporarily putting the Broncos on top 2-1.
The pivotal moment came in the bottom of the sixth. After Nathan Borchardt (Stanley, N.C./East Lincoln/King) and Weaver reached base, Tristan Crane crushed a three-run homer to left, flipping the score and giving Eastern Michigan a 4-2 advantage.
