HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Plymouth High School in Plymouth, Mich… Earned two letters as a shortstop and pitcher…Named all-state first team and earned a spot in the Comerica Park High School All-Star Game, representing the East team…Also earned all-conference and all-region honors…As a senior, posted a .425 batting average with 50 innings pitched, recording a 1.90 ERA…Holds the Plymouth single-season record for hits, while setting career records in saves and strikeouts, and tying the doubles record.
