SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University Gymnastics student-athletes Raisa Boris and Abby Brushwood competed at the NCAA Regionals Wednesday, April 3, inside Jon M. Huntsman Center.
Boris (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center) competed in the all-around and on bars while Brushwood (State College, Pa./State College Area) performed on floor in the second session Wednesday night.
Boris posted a 39.025 all-around, highlighted by her 9.800 bars routine. The senior closed her career with her ninth all-around showing of at least 39.000 this season. Boris tallied at least 9.700 in all four events for the sixth time in 2025.
Brushwood scored 9.850 on floor in her first career NCAA Regionals performance. The sophomore posted at least 9.800 in the event in every meet this season, outside of the first competition, Jan. 12. Her 9.850 is EMU's top floor score in an NCAA Regionals meet since Jada Rondeau's 9.900 in 2021.
Boris, who qualified in 2024, was the first Eagle to qualify for NCAA Regionals in all-around in back-to-back seasons since Emili Dobronics did so in 2018 and 2019 while Brushwood is the first Eagle to advance to the postseason on floor since Rondeau in 2021.
EMU has sent at least one Eagle to NCAA Regionals every season since 2018 (excludes 2020 COVID-impacted season).
