Gymnastics Lands Eight on Academic All-MAC Team

Boris and Chemotti earned honor for third time in career
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eight student-athletes from the Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team have been named to the 2025 Academic All-MAC Team, the Mid-American Conference announced Tuesday, April 15.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
The Eagles who earned the honor this season were seniors Raisa Boris (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center), Alana Fisher (Athens, Ala./Alabama Connections Academy), Ella Chemotti (Canton, Mich./Canton), juniors Kyrie Lowe (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista) and Priya Karle (Canton, Mass./Canton), and sophomores Abby Brushwood (State College, PA./State College Area), Gwendelyn Cantu (Joliet, Ill./Providence Catholic), and Katin Childress (Prosper, Texas/Prosper).
Boris and Chemotti were named to the Academic All-MAC team for the third time in their career while Lowe and Fisher each earned the accolade for the second time.
Leading the conference with 11 honorees were Western Michigan University and Kent State University.
