Pair of Eagles Named Preseason All-MAC First Team by Perfect Game

Bobby Jones and Drew Jones earned the honor
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University baseball student-athletes Drew Jones and Bobby Jones were selected Preseason All-Mid-American Conference First Team by Perfect Game.
Entering his senior season, Bobby Jones (Loveland, Ohio/St. Xavier/Xavier) is coming off a career year nearly across the board in 2024. Last season, Jones led the team in ERA (6.28), WHIP (1.31), wins (five), innings pitched (86.0), and strikeouts (79), while issuing the second-least amount of walks of any EMU starter (24), and allowing the lowest opposing batting average of all starters (.255). Additionally, Jones' 86.0 innings on the mound ranked as the most in the MAC, while ranking seventh in the conference in opposing batting average, strikeouts, and walks allowed.
Heading into his third season of collegiate baseball, Drew Jones (Cleveland, Ohio/Brush/Ohio State) batted .265 with a .730 OPS, totaling six extra-base hits and 14 RBI in 2024. A two-way player, Jones can also get on the mound if needed, as he totaled 10.0 IP and led the team in saves with two last season.
