MOBILE, Ala. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University senior Patrick Deardorff (Clarkston, Mich.-Clarkston) recorded his second career top-10 finish Tuesday, March 26, at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate hosted by the University of South Alabama. The Clarkston, Mich., native closed with an even-par 71 to finish the event with a 213 (72-70-71). Texas State (843) and Illinois State (847) battled back and forth, as the two schools were the only ones under par for the tournament and held a 13-stroke lead on the remainder of the field. Oral Roberts (860), Loyola Maryland (863), Valparaiso (864), South Alabama (867), UCF (868), Georgia State (871), Western Kentucky (876), EMU (877), Eastern Kentucky (878), Loyola Chicago (883), DePaul (886), and Dayton (891) rounded out the field in the tournament.
The schools started the third round on Monday, March 25, to attempt to avoid potential bad weather on Tuesday and got part of the way through the round before it was stopped because of darkness.
