Rebekah Knapp Named MAC Diver of the Week

The award marks the second of Knapp's career, and the first for the team under Head Diving Coach Tom Gimm

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University swim & dive student-athlete Rebekah Knapp was named the Mid-American Conference Women's Diver of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday, Oct. 23.
 
This past week, Knapp (Mesa, Ariz./Skyline) appeared in mid-season form as she earned an NCAA Zone Diving Championships cut in the 3m dive with a personal-best score of 317.25 points. She also took fourth-place in the 1m dive, posting 245.03 points.
 
The award marks the second of Knapp's career, the first from the team in 2024, and the first of the Head Diving Coach Tom Gimm era. Knapp previously earned the honor last season, after she placed first in the 3m dive with a score of 306.90 points in Eastern's 173-114 win over Bowling Green, Jan. 26.

Knapp and the Eagles are back in the pool this weekend, Saturday, Oct. 26, as they are set to begin MAC competition against the Bulls of the University at Buffalo at 11 a.m.
