BACK IN #MACTION
The Green and White's 2023-24 campaign marks the 43rd season Eastern Michigan will compete as a member of the Mid-American Conference. Playing a league schedule since the 1981-82 campaign, EMU has compiled a 306-402 record against conference opponents all-time.

COACHING CHANGE
EMU made a change in its women's basketball head coaching position and separated from Head Coach Fred Castro effective immediately, EMU Vice President/Director of Athletics Scott Wetherbee announced, Dec. 11. Castro was announced as the ninth head women's basketball coach in school history in May 2016. He compiled an overall record of 80-129 with a 40-84 record in MAC play. Assistant Coach Ke'Sha Blanton will lead the team on an interim basis for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

ROOKIE IN THE STARTING FIVE
Freshman Cali Denson was in the starting lineup for the 11th consecutive game after doing so for the first time in her career in the road game at Georgia Southern University, Nov. 11. Denson continues to be the only freshman this season to be in the starting five.

KEEP THEM UNDER 50
The Eagles allowed just 48 Toledo points, the lowest of any MAC foe this season marking just the third time the Eagles have kept their opponent under 50. The Green and White are 2-1 in said games.

Additionally, the 48 Toledo points mark as the second lowest points scored on the season for the Rockets following the mere 45 against Duke University, Dec. 20.

AUSTIN'S THEFTS
Lachelle Austin collected three steals in the contest for the first time this season and the 14th of her career.

OOO MYLES' STEALING
Kennedi Myles chipped in with three steals against the Rockets marking the third time this season with the feat and the 13th of her career.

TEAM-LEADING TAYRA
Tayra Eke's 17 points in the setback were just two shy of her career-high 19 points against Kent State University, Feb. 25, 2023. It marked the sixth time this season the junior has reached double figure points and the 19th of her career.

NO-NO-NO
Tayra Eke recorded four blocks in the loss for the second-consecutive game. It was the fourth time this season in which the junior earned four or more blocks in a single game. Her career-high five was set against Army West Point, Dec. 1, 2021 as an LIU Shark. She equaled the mark with five blocks against Georgia Southern University, Nov. 11.

SHARP-SHOOTING SMITH
Sophomore Olivia Smith connected on two shots from beyond the arc in the conference loss. It was the ninth contest this season in which Smith has made a single three-pointer. Last season, the then-rookie led the team in triples recording a single make in 25 total games. Her longest streak of consecutive games with a made triple was 13 (Dec. 17, 2022-Feb. 1, 2023).

ALL-TIME VS. BOWLING GREEN
Wednesday's matchup will mark the 76th meeting between Eastern Michigan and Bowling Green. The Falcons lead the all-time series, 55-20 after defeating the Eagles, 70-36, in the quarterfinals of the 2023 MAC Tournament held inside the RocketMortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, March 8.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE FALCONS
In their last meeting, EMU fought valiantly with a powerful first-quarter performance, but ultimately fell to BGSU, 70-36, in the first round of the MAC Tournament, March 8, inside Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.

The Eagles had two players score in double figures, led by Tayra Eke who had 11 points, four assists and two blocks.  Irekpitan Ozzy-Momodu tacked on 10 points and Lachelle Austin added eight points, five assists and three steals.
