YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) —
Former Eastern Michigan University right-handed pitcher Davis Feldman (2016-21) was signed by the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball, Toronto offices announced, June 5.

In his time donning the Green and White, Feldman appeared on the mound a total of 53 times with 29 starts. The Brother Rice product allowed a total of 189 hits while striking out 129 in his five-year tenure with the Eagles. Additionally, Feldman gave up only seven home runs in his time at EMU, leaving the program with a 4.26 ERA in 188 total innings of work.

The 2017 and 2021 campaigns proved fruitful for the Warren, Mich., product. In 2017, Feldman was named to the Mid-American Conference's All-Tournament team after throwing a complete game in a 9-1 semifinal win over Central Michigan University, May 27, 2017, allowing just one run on five hits while striking out five. The effort helped EMU to its first MAC Tournament Championship game since 2008 and was the first and only complete game of his EMU career. Feldman was also on his game in the classroom, being named to the Academic All-MAC team upon completion of the 2017 season.

The 6-foot hurler was lights out for Eastern in the 2021 season. In his 59 innings pitched that year, he allowed just 59 hits, 25 runs, and two homers while sitting down 58 opposing batters and walking only 19. His efforts on the bump that season produced the then-graduate student a 2.75 ERA and 1.32 WHIP.

After Eastern, Feldman had a stint with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, a collegiate summer baseball team of the MLB Draft League, before signing a free agent deal with the Lexington Legends, now known as the Lexington Counter Clocks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball in August of 2021.

After making it official with the Blue Jays, Feldman was optioned to Dunedin Blue Jays, Toronto's Single-A affiliate. Feldman has one start under his belt for Dunedin so far, in which he gave up five hits and four runs in three innings of work.
