Eagles return to spring competition with dual race

Race Preview.

BOSTON, Mass. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University rowing team will travel east to take on Boston College and MIT Saturday, April 8, on the Charles River. Start time is slated for 9:20 a.m.

The competition will feature four different races with the First Varsity Eight boat beginning at 9:20 a.m. followed by the Second Varsity Eight at 9:50 a.m., the Varsity Four at 10:20 a.m. and the Third Varsity Eight at 10:50 a.m.

Last time out, the Eagles competed against the University of Alabama after a week-long spring break training trip in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Four Green and White boats - three Varsity Eights and one Varsity Four - raced against the Crimson Tide, March 4.

After this weekend's competition, Eastern Michigan will take part in the two-day Knecht Cup, April 15-16, in Cherry Hill, N.J., on the Cooper River.
