Eleven Eagle Gymnasts Earn Academic All-MAC Honors

Crossen, Parris, Stuckey earn title for third straight season
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eleven members of the Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team have earned 2023 Academic All-MAC Team distinctions, the Mid-American Conference annouced today, April 21.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Leading the conference with 14 honorees is Northern Illinois University, followed by both Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan's 11. Kent State and Western Michigan followed with 10 selections apiece while Bowling Green and Ball State took eight and six honors, respectively.
The Eagles earning the honor this season are seniors Hadyn Crossen (Carmel, Ind.-Carmel), Hannah Hartung (Lincoln, Neb.-Lincoln East), Molly Parris (Hudson, Ohio-Hudson) and Mickayla Stuckey (Union City, Ind.-Indiana Connections Academy). Juniors Raisa Boris (Brooklyn Park, Minn.-Park Center), Anna Grace McCullough (Birmingham, Ala.-Briarwood Christian) and Sophia Rios (DeWitt, Mich.-DeWitt) were also tabbed to the team along with sophomores Cassie Bergin (Islip Terrace, N.Y.-East Islip), Ella Chemotti (Canton, Mich.-Canton), Alana Fisher (Athens, Ala.-Alabama Connections Academy) and Emma Lewis (Grand Rapids, Mich.-Forest Hills Central).
