RIO VERDE, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University sophomore Kyleigh Dull (Fremont, Ohio-Lakota) tallied a 54-hole tally of 230 (79-75-76) for a tie for 41st place on the final day of the Rio Verde Invitational, Feb. 26. For Dull, it marked the 16th time in her young career she has finished inside the top-50 at a tournament.
Xavier's Emma McMyler won the event on the second playoff hole after finishing deadlocked with Central Michigan's Casilda Allendesalazar. The duo recorded a one-over par 217 on the par 72, 6,044-yard Quail Run Golf Club setup.
As a team, Eastern Michigan finished 18th at the competition, posting a score of 938 (318-308-313). Xavier posted a commanding 17 stroke victory over Kennesaw State, posting an 875 (293-289-293).
How It Happened
Dull tallied six birdies and 35 pars over the course of the three rounds for the Eagles. Meanwhile, senior Natai Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand-The Regent's International School) took 66th with a three-day cumulative of 237 (79-77-81).
Senior Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit) carded a 238 (78-77-83), while junior Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland) finished in a tie for 72nd with a 241 (82-79-80). Sophomore Alyssa DiMarcantonio (Maple, Ontario-Tommy Douglas Secondary School) saved her best for last, posting a 76 on Sunday for a 243 (85-82-76) in 78th.
