YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team fell to Kent State University 195.750-195.450, inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center Sunday, Feb. 26. 

How It Happened 
The Eagles started the afternoon off with a 48.375 score on vault, led by Ella Chemotti (Canton, Mich.-Canton) who earned a team-high 9.725 for sixth place overall. 

In its second rotation on bars, EMU posted a 49.025 event total for a 97.400 running score. Hadyn Crossen (Carmel, Ind.-Carmel) and Anna Grace McCullough (Birmingham, Ala.-Briarwood Christian) posted the squad's best performance in the event with dual 9.825s for first place finishes. 

The Green and White moved to beam next where they recorded a 48.900 on the apparatus. Chemotti paced the Eagles once again with a 9.900 score to land in a tie for first overall. Going into the team's final rotations, KSU led EMU 146.575-146.300

Eastern Michigan concluded the meet with a season-high 49.150 floor score. Raisa Boris (Brooklyn Park, Minn.-Park Center) led the Eagles in its final rotation, tallying a personal-best 9.900 individual score on the event for second place. 

Mickayla Stuckey (Union City, Ind.-Indiana Connections Academy) also tacked on a career-high 9.875 on floor while McCullough and Chemotti matched their personal bests on the apparatus with 9.850 and 9.750 performances respectively. 

Boris took the all-around crown as well with a 39.200 effort to best visitor Rachel Decavitch's 38.475 score.
