Eagles closed the fall portion of schedule
MADISON, Wis. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University rowing team raced Saturday, Nov. 4, at the University of Wisconsin against the Badgers and the University of Minnesota at Lake Mendotta.
The teams competed in a 4,000m race and a trio of 1,500m races in a scrimmage setting.

"We had really good racing with the Big Ten this weekend," Head Coach Kemp Savage said. "It is great to step up to compete with the Power Five to measure our speed. We have made some great progression in the last two weeks. Now we get to go inside and build the fitness for a definitive spring season."
"The head race was a good race to finish my career on," graduate student Chloe Hinojosa (Kewanee, Ill./Kewanee) said. "I think it was the best race we had this season as far as competition and stepping up to the plate when called upon. Overall, this weekend was a lot of fun and I wouldn't have picked a better group of teammates to surround myself with. The sprint pieces were somewhat hit or miss. It was fun to bring up the rate and see where we're at as far as sprinting goes with spring season being the next focus. I'm extremely happy with how the fall season finished. I am to so glad to be able to compete and help the team in anyway I could.
