QUICK KICKS
»    The Eagles enter the week with an 1-7-6 record after losses vs. Northern Illinois University (2-0, Oct. 5) and at Bowling Green State University (3-2, Oct. 8), respectively.
»    EMU battled a 41-minute rain delay against NIU before ultimately falling, 0-2, on a rain-soaked Scicluna Field.
»    At BGSU, the Eagles fell behind in the third-minute, but freshman Olivia Sipsock and junior Meagan Lukowski provided first-half goals to give EMU a 2-1 lead after 45 minutes, despite being outshot 14-2 in the opening frame. BGSU scored in the 61st-minute and 88th-minute to secure the victory.
»     Eastern Michigan is now 249-241-70 all-time and stands 143-112-34 in MAC play. With one more victory, the Eagles will record the 250th win in program history.
»     Head Coach Scott Hall is currently in his 25th season at the helm of the program and holds an all-time record of 210-210-67 (132-108-32 MAC) during his time in Ypsilanti.
»    Scott Hall is in elite company as the Eagles' gaffer is one of just 44 active head coaches embarking on their 25th or higher season with an NCAA Division I women's program in 2023, and one of only 13 of which has done so at the same school. Hall is the sixth head coach of any sport in EMU history to guide the same program for 25 or more years.

ONE MORE: Eastern sports an all-time record of 249-241-70, leaving the Eagles just one win shy of reaching the 250 victory milestone. The last time the Eagles recorded a milestone victory came Sept. 21, 2018, when their 2-0 home win over Kent State marked the 225th program win.

ALUMNI WEEKEND: The program will hold its annual Alumni Weekend, Oct. 14-15. Alums of the program are invited back to watch the current Eagles train before the football team takes on Kent State University later in the day Saturday, Oct. 14, with a social gathering also planned. Then, Sunday, Oct. 15, the soccer team will play host to rival Western Michigan in a 1 p.m. contest at Scicluna Field for all alumni to attend.

MAC ASSISTS LEADER: Freshman Kate Robinson leads the MAC with six assists, the most since Nicole Remedios tallied six in 2019. If Robinson reaches seven assists, she would be the first Eagle since 2013 to post seven-plus assists in a season as Angela Vultaggio (8), Stephanie Clarke (7), and Martha Stevens (7) did in the 2013 season.

SCOUTING TOLEDO: Toledo enters Thursday's match with a 6-5-2 overall mark and a 3-2-1 clip in MAC play. The Rockets have won three-straight matches, all coninciding with a clean sheet. Madison Medalle leads Toledo with six goals and 15 points while Grace Turski has a team-high four assists. The Rockets have six players with multiple goals and four players with multiple assists.

IN THE SERIES WITH THE ROCKETS: The Eagles trail by a 14-15-2 margin in the all-time series with the Rockets. EMU and Toledo have played the last three matches in Ypsilanti and are scheduled to play in Toledo for the first time since Oct. 10, 2019. The Eagles will look to secure their first victory at Toledo since Sept. 23, 2012 (lost three-straight). Both teams have scored at least one goal in each of the last seven meetings. EMU has played Toledo 31 times, the second-most of any opponent.

SCOUTING WESTERN MICHIGAN: Western Michigan enters the week at 7-3-3 overall and a 3-0-3 clip in MAC play. WMU's three losses all came by one goal against the University of Michigan, the University of Wisconsin, and Marquette University, respectively. The Broncos are coming off a 1-1 draw against Ohio University Oct. 8.

IN THE SERIES WITH THE BRONCOS: The all-time series between Eastern and Western Michigan is even at 15-15-4. The Eagles and Broncos have alternated wins and losses each of the last match-ups with EMU winning the most recent match Oct. 16, 2022, by a 2-1 score.

LOOKING BACK - VS NORTHERN ILLINOIS (L, 0-2 OCT. 5)
»    After a 41-minute rain delay, EMU dropped a 2-0 result against NIU.
»    The Huskies scored in the 26th minute and 60th minute, respectively.
»    NIU held a 12-4 advantage in shots while NIU held a 10-5 advantage in corner kicks.

LOOKING BACK - AT BOWLING GREEN (L, 2-3 OCT. 12)
»    Despite being outshot 14-2 in the first half, the Eagles took a 2-1 lead into the intermission as freshman Olivia Sipsock blasted a 22-yard, left-footed strike past the BGSU keeper in the 29th-minute to level the match at 1-1 before junior Meagan Lukowski scored from 25 yards out off a counter-attack in the 42nd-minute. Lukowski assisted on Sipsock's goal while sophomore Lily Spotak assisted on Lukowski's goal.
»     Lukowski is the second Eagle to score and assist on a goal in the same match this season (Sipsock vs. Buffalo Oct. 1).
»   Redshirt freshman Ella Holland tied a career-high with 10 saves and tallied six-plus saves for the fifth time this season.
»    BGSU held a 24-7 advantage in shots while leading 4-3 in corners, netting the game-winning goal with 2:01 left to play.

FRESHMEN TAKEOVER: Through the opening 14 matches of the season, freshmen Kate Robinson and Olivia Sipsock have made a name for themselves as the duo have combined for 22 points. Robinson has a trio of goals and six assists, highlighted by a two-assist outing at Purdue Fort Wayne Sept. 7. Sipsock has four goals and two assists, highlighted by her 88th-minute goal against Buffalo Oct. 1, a match in which she also tallied an assist.

HOLLAND MAC LEADER + CAREER-HIGH SAVES: Redshirt freshman Ella Holland leads the MAC with 54 saves and tallied a career-high 10 saves at Bowling Green Oct. 8. She has four-plus saves in each of the last eight matches with 49 in total during that span.

NEWCOMER POINTS: Through 14 matches, EMU has accumulated 47 points, including 15 goals and nine assists. Of those 47 points, more than half have come from rookies with Kate Robinson collecting 12 points (three goals, six assists) and Olivia Sipsock with 10 points (four goals, two assists).

MITTEN MATCHES: The meeting with Western Michigan will be the final of four matches the Eagles will play against fellow Michigan programs. Eastern fell at Oakland, 1-0, Aug. 20, and Michigan State, Aug. 31, earlier this season. EMU was victorious, 1-0, against CMU, Sept. 21, behind freshman Kate Robinson's 73rd-minute PK. Through the match with CMU, the Eagles hold an all-time record of 52-53-20 against Michigan teams.
