Swim Competes Against Buffalo in Dual Meet on Saturday

SALINE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming program will conclude its 2022-23 regular season with a dual meet against Mid-American Conference foe, the University at Buffalo, Saturday, Jan. 21, at Saline High School.

LAST TIME OUT: The swimmers traveled to Holland, Mich., to compete against Grand Valley State University, the University of Indianapolis and the University of Findlay. EMU defeated Findlay, 173-97, but fell to Indianapolis (156-136) and GVSU (176-117), after winning four events in the quad meet.
Freshman Isabel Harri won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.99) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:21.16) for the Green and White. Senior Carlin Hudson earned a victory in the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.72) and the 100-yard freestyle (51.90).
SCOUTING THE BULLS: Prior to the date with the Eagles on Saturday, the Bulls will have a tri-meet Friday evening, Jan. 20, competing against the University of Toledo and Ohio University in Toledo, Ohio. Last weekend, UB fell to Duquesne, Jan. 13, by a score of 114-110. The Bulls opened the meet with a win in the 400-yard medley relay. Mia Naccarella finished first in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke, and Toni Naccarella took first in the 100-yard freestyle. Amanda Neeb finished first in the 100-yard butterfly while Katie Pollock won the 100-yard breaststroke.
ON THE HORIZON: The Eagles will look to the MAC Championships, Feb. 22-25, hosted by Miami University, for their next competition. Prior to the league championships, EMU will host its annual Senior Day Extravaganza Saturday, Feb. 4, at Skyline High School to honor its graduating class.
