YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Former Eastern Michigan University soccer player Kaylin Williams (2015-18) is continuing to impress in her professional career as the four-year Eagle goalkeeper recently signed a professional contract to join K.F.F. Vllaznia (Albania). Williams most recently played for the Kansas City Courage in the United Women's Soccer league.

Vllaznia is the top team in Albania where it has won the Albanian Women's Championship nine years running to earn a place in Europe's top club competition, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League. Williams, who signed her contract Sept. 1, wasted no time earning playing time as she was named the starting keeper in the Champions League first leg match with Vorskl-Kharkiv-2 (Ukraine) and helped her team to a 1-1 draw. The second leg between the two sides is set for Sept. 28, in Ukraine with the winner on aggregate goal scoring advancing to the Group Stage.

As a member of the Courage the past two seasons, Williams appeared in 16 total matches where she stopped 47 shots and allowed 12 goals. In the 2022 season, she allowed just four goals while stopping 23 shots to help the Courage to a 6-1-1 record and runners up in the UWS Central Division. For her efforts, she was named the UWS Central Goalkeeper of the Year.

During her time in Ypsilanti, Williams was the team's primary keeper and amassed 6,100 minutes of playing time, the most of any keeper in program history by over 400 minutes. She accumulated 314 saves to rank third all-time in program history while her 12 shutouts ranked sixth and her 1.52 goals-against average stands at the eighth-best at Eastern.
