EMU Soccer vs. Western Illinois Aug. 18 Moved to Legacy

Season opener will be held at Legacy Center (Brighton) as turf is installed at Scicluna Field
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The season-opening match between Eastern Michigan University and visiting Western Illinois University has been moved to the Legacy Center Sports Complex in Brighton, Mich., Head Coach Scott Hall announced today, Aug. 15. The move was made necessary as the installation of field turf on Scicluna Field continues in Ypsilanti, rendering the venue unplayable.
The Eagles recently played their lone home exhibition at Legacy Center last week when they hosted Detroit Mercy.
The Legacy Center Sports Complex is located at 9299 Goble Drive in Brighton, Mich. (48116), approximately 20 miles north of campus. The match between the Eagles and Titans will be played indoors and is free to all those wishing to attend. First kick is slated for 5 p.m. Live stats will be available at EMUEagles.com.
