DEFENSIVE DOMINANCE: The Eagles have not conceded a goal in their last 180 minutes of play, shutting out No. 3 Michigan State in a 0-0 draw Thursday, Aug. 27, and blanking Robert Morris in a 0-0 draw Sunday, Aug. 30. Eastern ranks No. 37 nationally in goals-against average (0.500), No. 44 in save percentage (.846) and No. 72 in shutout percentage (.500) through four matches.

MAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK: EMU earned two MAC weekly honors Sept. 1. Ella Holland was named MAC Goalkeeper of the Week after recording seven saves in the scoreless draw at No. 3 Michigan State and posting a clean sheet against Robert Morris. Ella Holland carries a 0.50 goals-against average and a .846 save percentage on the season and holds the Eastern Michigan and MAC single-match record for saves with 20. Reese Carpenter, a newcomer who transferred from Creighton, was named MAC Defensive Player of the Week — the first career weekly honor of her career — after anchoring a backline that allowed zero goals across both Week 3 matches.

MATCHUP OVERVIEW: SOUTHERN INDIANA: The Screaming Eagles arrive at Scicluna Field with a 0-4-2 record and are still searching for their first win of 2026.
