YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University women's basketball Head Coach Fred Castro announced the hiring of Amy Pryor as the new women's basketball Director of Operations today, Aug. 10.
"I am honored to join such a great staff at Eastern Michigan University" said Pryor. Pryor spent the last year as a personal trainer at Cross Timbers, located in Grapevine, Texas. She was tasked with handling money for the booster club, setting up social events for the teams, and kept inventory of equipment.
Prior to her time in Grapevine, the Oklahoma native spent two years in Mesquite, Texas, where she was the assistant women's basketball coach for West Mesquite High School before taking the interim head position. Prior to her junior year, Pryor transferred to Oral Roberts University and played a single season with the Golden Eagles. Pryor then signed a letter of intent to Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Okla., where she finished her basketball playing career.
