JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team continues its spring slate in Jacksonville, Fla., Monday, March 7, at the Benbow Invitational hosted by Butler University. The event is named in honor of long-time Butler administrator and Hall of Famer Don Benbow.
The two-day, 36-hole event will be played at the Jacksonville Beach Golf Club, with round one on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Shotgun starts are scheduled for 9 a.m. both days on the par-71, 5,913 yard course layout.
Eastern Michigan will be joined along with Butler, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Indiana State, IUPUI, Monmouth, Purdue Fort Wayne, Radford, Savannah State, Troy, Valparaiso, Western Illinois, and Western Michigan.
Traveling to the Sunshine State will include freshman Kyleigh Dull (Fremont, Ohio-Lakota), freshman Alyssa DiMarcantonio (Maple, Ontario-Tommy Douglas Secondary School), sophomore Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland), junior Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit), and Sophia Wygonik (Westland, Mich.-Livonia Franklin). Junior Natai Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand-The Regent's International School), sophomore Tatyana Nyambane (Nairobi, Kenya-Nord Anglia International School Dubai), and sophomore Paige Zolciak (Perrysburg, Ohio-St. Ursula Academy) will also be in action as individual competitors.
Results will be posted to EMUEagles.com at the conclusion of each day.
