In collaboration with South Alabama, the 13-team tournament will be played at the par 72, 7,107-yard Cotton Creek Golf Course at Craft Farms Golf Resort in Gulf Shores, Ala.
The three-day tournament will feature 18 holes each day, with rounds on Sunday and Monday beginning at 7:50 a.m. CT off both holes No. 1 and No. 10. Tuesday's final round will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT.
Joining EMU and USA at the event will be Connecticut, DePaul, Eastern Kentucky, Georgia State, Illinois State, Lamar, Louisiana, Oakland, Oral Roberts, Rice, and Southern Illinois.
This is the second edition of the event after debuting last year. Senior Cougar Collins (Caledon, Ontario, Canada-Mayfield Secondary) and the team finished in seventh place with a 54-hole mark of 886 (291-298-297). Collins finished tied for seventh with an even-par 216 (69-74-73) for his first top-10 showing of the season and third in his career.
Cincinnati (865) held onto the lead, ending six shots clear of second-place South Alabama (871).
Featuring rolling fairways and large undulating greens, Cotton Creek at Craft Farms Golf Resort is very playable from the forward tees and a true championship challenge of over 7,000 yards from the tips. True to its Arnold Palmer design, this traditional 18-hole masterpiece was laid out to challenge rather than intimidate, with numerous risk/reward opportunities throughout. Golf Digest has consistently rated Cotton Creek as one of the Best Places to Play.
