YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University Swimming Head Coach Derek Perkins has announced that the 2021 Green and White Scrimmage will be located inside the Donald B. Canham Natatorium on the campus of the University of Michigan Friday, Oct. 1. The scrimmage will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The venue was changed from the Jones Natatorium to the Canham Natatorium due to a facility issue. Fans can park in the University of Michigan's main athletic parking lot off of S. State Street and Hill Street. A map of the parking lot labeled "SC20" can be found here. Spectators must also follow the University of Michigan's COVID-19 policies.
Last season, the Eagles placed sixth at the Mid-American Conference Championships, April 17, hosted by EMU. Individually, swimmers Ali Staver (Betterndorf, Iowa-Pleasant Valley) and Riley Hofmann (Ada, Mich.-Forest Hills Central) both notched season-best swims in the 200 butterfly preliminaries, with Staver making the championship final and earning sixth-place, 2:00.15, while Hofmann tabbed a spot in the consolation final with her 2:02.28 time, good for 11th in the field at the MAC Championships. Staver would also be honored as a Second Team All-MAC selection.
