EMU will take on the Dukes Saturday and the Flyers Sunday
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University rowing team continues the 2021 spring season by hosting Duquesne University Saturday, April 10, and the University of Dayton Sunday, April 11, at Ford Lake. The duel against the Dukes is set for 1:30 p.m., while the race versus the Flyers is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
"We are all really excited about hosting this weekend," Head Coach Kemp Savage said. "This will be a chance to get more of our student-athletes out racing because we don't always have the opportunity to race as many as we want at away races."
Both regattas will be the first time the Eagles race against Duquesne and Dayton in a duel-style format. The Green and White has faced both institutions multiple times in program history.

The next day, EMU will race against Dayton starting at 12:30 p.m. with the 2000-meter V4+ race. The 2V8+ and 3V8+ 2000 meter race will follow at 12:45 p.m. The 2000-meter 1V8+ race will take place at 1 p.m., and the competition day will end with 500-meter races from the V4+, 2V8+ and 1V8+ boats starting at 1:10 p.m.
