Saint Ursula Academy senior Claire Dillard signs with the Eagles
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University lacrosse program picked up its second recruit from the Buckeye State, Head Coach Alicia Groveston Jackson announced, Feb. 8, in Saint Ursula Academy (Ohio) senior Claire Dillard.
"Claire's size and aggressiveness make her a force in the midfield and defensive end," said Groveston Jackson. "She is versatile and can go where we need her to play. She has a very strong work ethic in the classroom and on the field, which will make her strong addition to our EMU Community."
Lacrosse will be the 19th varsity sport at Eastern Michigan, which begins play during the 2022-23 academic year.
EMU will be the seventh Mid-American Conference institution to sponsor the sport at the NCAA Division I level. Others in the MAC include Akron, Central Michigan, Detroit Mercy, Kent State, Robert Morris, and Youngstown State.
