Lacrosse Lands 17 on IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its annual academic honors for the 2026 season today, July 22, with the Eastern Michigan University program earning several accolades.
As a team, the Eagles were one of 357 schools across all divisions of collegiate competition to be named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, making the list for the fourth consecutive year. Additionally, the Eagles landed 17 student-athletes on the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll, joining a list of 1,212 total honorees across the nation for the season.
The 17 Eagles that made the grade in 2026 included Abby Alderman (Lusby, Md./Patuxent), Amber Alderman (Lusby, Md./Patuxent), Caitlin Beahm (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North), Mackenzie Blackwell (North Beach, Md./Northern), Payton Bloedow (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake/Stony Brook), Samantha Borgert (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern), Gina D'Alessio (Ft. Pierce, Fla./Vero Beach), Kelsea Dague (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield), Mak Grisinger (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington/Central Michigan), Tracy Grollman (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis Area Christian School), Haley Hodak (Severn, Md./Old Mill), Sanai James (Abingdon, Md./St. Timothy's School/Delaware State), Roya Khaleeli (Rancho Palo Verdes, Calif./Palos Verdes Peninsula), Karly Low (Owen Sound, Ontario/Owen Sound District Secondary), Maggie McCabe (Levittown, N.Y./Division Avenue), Kendall Nagle (Sudlersville, Md./Queen Anne's County), and Annika Wozney (Elk River, Minn./Elk River). Of the 17 honored, 11 earned their second career academic honor from the IWLCA as well.
To be eligible for the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. The team honor required the team to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
