The First Varsity Eight team placed 16th in the 31-boat race
BOSTON, Mass. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University rowing program finished its 2021 fall competition schedule with the Head of the Charles Regatta today, Oct. 23, in Boston, Mass. Races took place on the Charles River.
The First Varsity Eight squad finished in 16th place out of 31 boats with a time of 17:27.616. The University of South California crossed the finish line in first with a time of 16:32.227.
"We didn't have the race we wanted to end the varsity season," Head Coach Kemp Savage said. "We are going to spend the next couple weeks on the water testing everything."
Eastern Michigan's Novice program will scrimmage the University of Michigan Saturday, Oct. 30, while the Varsity squads prep for spring competition.
