Volleyball's Stilwell Earns MAC Player of the Week honors

The sophomore averaged 5.75 digs per set

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University sophomore volleyball player Kamryn Stilwell (Parma, Ohio-Padua Franciscan) was named Mid-American Conference West Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today, Oct. 18. This is Stilwell's second player of the week honor. 

The sophomore led the Eagles defensively in two matches against Mid-American Conference opponent Miami, Oct. 14-15. The defensive specialist recorded 46 digs over two matches for a 5.75 digs-per-set average. Additionally, she added eight assists over the weekend.

Stilwell notched a team-best 22 digs, 41 receptions, and two assists in a 3-1 loss to the RedHawks, Oct. 14. The following day, the defensive specialist tallied 24 digs and a career-high six assists in a four-set win over Miami, Oct. 15.

Stilwell ranks fifth in the Mid-American Conference averaging 4.44 digs per set. During conference play, the sophomore is recording 5.06 digs per set

The Eagles will host in-state rival Central Michigan University Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. inside the Convocation Center.
