RIO VERDE, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) -- Due to rain, the second round of the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational has been postponed. The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team will wrap up play at the event tomorrow, Feb. 23, with 36 holes. The Eagles are expected to tee-off at 8:30 a.m. MT.

As a team, the women's golf team sits in a three-way tie with Boise State and Missouri State with a 307 on the par 72, 6242 yard White Wing Golf Course. Xavier sits on top the leaderboard with an opening day total of 297, two strokes ahead of Arkansas State (299).

Junior Preaw Sripatrprasite (Bangkok, Thailand-Siam International) fired a 74 for 11th-place on day one, while sophomore Natai Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand-The Regent's International School) is in a tie for 24th after a round of 76. Senior Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio-Anthony Wayne) added a 78, followed by seniors Julia Stevenson (Milford, Mich.-Milford) and Katelin Lawson (LaSalle, Ontario- Ridge Community-Tampa) with a 79 and an 82, respectively.

Playing as an individual, freshman Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit) posted a 73, the lowest 18-hole round as a collegiate player . Loeberg's previous single-round was a 74 on day one of the Shirley Spork Invitational, Sept. 30, 2019, at EagleCrest Golf Course.
