EMU Gymnastics Tabbed No. 24 in Academics for 2018-19

12 Eagles earned WCGA Scholastic All-American Honors
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) –The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced the top academic teams from the 2018-19 year, Monday, Aug. 19. The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team landed at 24th in the country with a team grade point average of 3.597.
The Eagles also had 12 gymnasts honored as WCGA Scholastic All-Americans, Megan Benzie (Roanoke, Va.-Cave Springs), Cortney Bezold (Maineville, Ohio-Bishop Fenwick), Carly Clark (White Lake, Mich.-Walled Lake Northern), Emili Dobronics (Orland Park, Ill.-Carl Sandburg), Shannon Gregory (Edison, N.J.-John P. Stevens), Cali Harden (Saline, Mich.-Saline), Megan Hultgren (Rockford, Ill.Sacred Heart Classical Center), Carly Kosanovich (Moon Twp., Pa.-Moon Area), Bri Price (Kings Mountain, N.C.-Homeschool), Charlotte Reynolds (Leominster, Mass.-Leominster), Jada Rondeu (Noorwood Young America, Minn.-Central), and Caitlin Satler (Orland Park, Ill.-Carl Sandburg). These student-athletes maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or held a 3.5 GPA for 2018-19.
Four Mid-American Conference schools joined EMU in the top-25 , including Western Michigan University, Northern Illinois University, Central Michigan University, and Kent State University, with WMU and NIU snagging the second and third spots.
