PERRY PARK, Ky. (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University junior Julia Stevenson (Milford, Mich.-Milford) fired a one-over par 73 and sits in a tie for second-place after the opening day of the Perry Park Spring Fling, March 30.
As a team, the Eagles carded an opening day score of 308 while Missouri-St. Louis holds down the top spot with an 18-hole tally of 305 on the par 72 Buckskin-Whitetail Course at Perry Park Golf Resort.
Behind Stevenson, senior Penelope Guilleux (Saint Maur Des Fosse, France-Arsonval) added a 77 in 16th, while Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio-Anthony Wayne) added a 78 for 24th. Sophomore Preaw Sripatrprasite (Bangkok, Thailand-Siam International) notched an 80 and senior Kritsuda Apiwatthanadol (Bangkok, Thailand-Somtawin Witead Suska Huaymongkhon School) recorded an 89.
Playing as an individual, Katelin Lawson (LaSalle, Ontario-Ridge Community-University of Tampa) is tied for 11th-place with a 75.
A late addition to the Eagles' schedule, the tournament will conclude tomorrow, March 31.
