Minott is the sixth two-time All-MAC selection in EMU history

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - Redshirt senior guard Danielle Minott (Miami, Fla.-Miami Country Day (Syracuse)) of the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team was named All-Mid-American Conference Honorable Mention the league office announced Tuesday, March 12. The All-MAC teams are selected by the league's 12 head coaches.

It is the second straight year in which Minott has reeled in All-MAC honors after being tabbed a third team selection last season. Minott is just the sixth Eagle to be named the conference's postseason squad multiple times, and the first since Cha Sweeney was tabbed Second Team All-MAC three straight years from 2013-16.

The Miami, Fla. native leads the Eagles in scoring at 13.8 points per game, the 15th-best mark in the conference. A MAC West Player of the Week honoree, her 2.2 steals per game are slotted tied for fifth-best in the league, while her 5.6 rebounds per game are 18th-best in the MAC. Minott has led the Eagles in scoring on 10 occasions and has posted a career-best four double-doubles this season.

She became just the second player in program history to record multiple 40-point games with a Convocation Center record 43 points against the University at Buffalo, Jan. 9. Minott finished one point off her career-high and her own school record, while also adding 12 rebounds, three steals, two assists, and two blocks in EMU's double-overtime tilt with the Bulls.

Next up for the Eagles is a quarterfinal meeting with No. 1 Central Michigan University Wednesday, March 13, in Cleveland, Ohio. Tipoff between EMU and CMU is slated for noon inside Quicken Loans Arena.
