Joe Ingram Named MAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week

EMU sophomore earns his second weekly award in as many seasons
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University sophomore Joe Ingram (Cincinnati, Ohio-Anderson) was named the Mid-American Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today, Oct. 29. This is the second weekly award Ingram has earned in as many seasons, and the first weekly honor collected by an EMU runner during the 2019 campaign.
Ingram recorded the Eagles' fastest time at the EMU Fall Classic Friday, Oct. 25, finishing in 18th place with a personal-best 5K time of 15:55.1 at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter, Mich. He also earned weekly honors after competing in Green and White's home event last season, as has placed 27th with a time of 16:11.5, Oct. 19, 2018.
Eastern has the opportunity to win its conference-record 23rd MAC Championship, and 14th under head coach John Goodridge, at the title race Saturday, Nov. 2 in DeKalb, Ill.
