Seven Eagles earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced the 2025 Men's and Women's Cross Country Academic All-MAC Teams Friday, Jan. 9. 13 student-athletes earned the accolade from the Eastern Michigan University programs, including eight from the men's team and five from the women's, with seven total Eagles earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.

Buffalo earned the most honorees with 16, followed by Central Michigan with 14, and Eastern tied with Ohio for third-highest total in the conference with 13 student-athletes earning recognition. The MAC saw a total of 117 cross country student-athlete honorees for the 2025 season.

The Eagles' selections from the men's team consist of Ronan Codyre (Auckland, New Zealand/Macleans College), Ty Dailey (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney), Drew Graves (Shelby Township, Mich./Henry Ford II), Nicholas Kline (Grand Rapids, Mich./Kenowa Hills), Carson McCoy (Pittsburgh, Pa./Deer Lakes), Sam Peterson (Charlevoix, Mich./Charlevoix), Carson Vanderschaaf (Marquette, Mich./Marquette Senior), and Kian Wiles (Hull, England/St. Mary's College). Graves, Kline, and Vanderschaaf received the award for the first time in their respective careers.
