Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

The men had a GPA of 3.605, while the women earned a 3.552 GPA

NEW ORLEANS, La. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University cross country teams earned United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors for the 2025 season, the organization announced Jan. 29.  

A team must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 to make the cut as a group.

The Eastern men's team notched a 3.605 GPA, with 10 individuals earning a 3.0 GPA or better, and one having a 4.0 in the fall semester. The women's squad earned a 3.552 GPA, with eight individuals having a 3.0 GPA or better, and two earning a 4.0.

The Division I Cross Country National Scholar Teams of the Year were awarded to Oklahoma State University for the men, while North Carolina State University earned the honor on the women's side.

Many EMU cross country athletes will participate as members of the EMU track and field programs at the Meyo Invitational, hosted by the University of Notre Dame at the Loftus Sports Center in South Bend, Ind., Friday-Saturday, Jan. 30-31. The meet will start at 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.
