COLLEGE STATION, Texas (EMUEagles.com)
– Eastern Michigan University women's track and field redshirt senior Alsu Bogdanova (Kazan, Russia-Lyceum #83) earned Second Team All-American honors, placing 11th in the 3000m run during the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship Saturday, March 10, in College Station, Texas.

The Kazan, Russia native ran to a time of 9:12.81, finishing five places higher than the 16-seed she came into the event at. Since she placed outside the top-eight, Bogdanova narrowly missed the opportunity to be named First Team All-American for the second time this season, after assisting the distance medley relay squad to a seventh-place finish to earn the honors in last night's action.

With that, Eastern's impressive indoor season comes to an end. The Green and White will now focus its attention to the outdoor season, which is scheduled to begin at the TCU Invitational Friday-Saturday, March 16-17, located in Dallas, Texas.
