Rowing Heads to East Lansing for Scrimmage With Michigan State, Wisconsin Sunday

The Eagles will send five boats to compete against the Spartans and Badgers

EAST LANSING, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University Rowing team heads north to East Lansing, Mich. to race against Michigan State University and University of Wisconsin in a fall scrimmage, Sunday, Oct. 28. The Eagles will participate in pieces at Grand River Park.    

EMU comes off a strong performance at the Head of the Charles regatta, placing 20th out of 33 boats in the women's club eights competition, Saturday, Oct. 20 in Cambridge, Mass. 

The Green and White will send five boats to compete in East Lansing, including three varsity eight boats and two novice eight boats. The scrimmage with the Spartans and Badgers will mark the first time many new members of Eastern Michigan's team will taste collegiate competition.
