The Eagles will compete against two Colonial Athletic Association adversaries

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (EMUEagles.com)- The Eastern Michigan University rowing team begins its 2018-19 season, Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Head of the Charles regatta in Cambridge, Mass. This is the second-straight season the team has attended the annual event, which attracts more than 10,000 athletes each year.

Last year, in the Eagles first ever trip to the prestigious event, the team placed 20th in the women's club eights with a time of 17:47.527, 14 places higher than its No. 34 seed. The 2017 finish earned EMU an automatic bid to this year's regatta.

The Eagles are one of 33 entries competing in the women's club eights, which includes Colonial Athletic Association foes Drexel, and reigning conference champion Northeastern. The women's club eights race is set to begin at 2:37 p.m.
