PENNSAUKEN, N.J. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University rowing team had every boat advance to Saturday's Grand Finals at the Coastal Athletic Association Championships Friday-Saturday, May 16-17, at Cooper River Park as senior Lily Wilhelm and Bryah Moriarty was honored as All-CAA.

Wilhelm (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville/Butler) was recognized in 2023, too, becoming the fourth different Eagle to earn the recognition on multiple occasions. Emma Boersen (2021 and 2022), Amanda Flora (2017, 2018, and 2019), and Krista Burdick (2014 and 2015) also earned the honor at least twice. Moriarty (Christchurch, New Zealand/Burnside) earned her first All-CAA honor.

Northeastern secured its 11th-straight CAA title. EMU, which has been competing as an affiliate member of the CAA since 2012-13, placed seventh.

Friday's action consisted of heat races as the top three in each heat advanced to Saturday's Grand Finals.

Eastern's 1V8 produced the Eagles' top time of the day Saturday with a 7:05.133 effort after an impressive 7:01.818 heat race Friday, EMU's best showing at the CAA Championships since crossing in 6:41.651 in 2022.

EMU's 2V8 dropped more than 11 seconds from the heat race to the Grand Final, going from 7:23.312 Friday to 7:12.229 Saturday for a sixth-place finish. The 2V8's showing was its best time in the CAA Championships since rowing to a 7:00.084 clip in 2022.

The Eagles' 1V4 edged Villanova University Friday to advance to Saturday's Grand Final, concluding its season with a 8:22.531 finish.

The 3V8, which did not have a heat race Friday, placed fourth in the Grand Final, crossing in 7:28.108, its best CAA Championships time since finishing in 7:26.928 in 2022.

The weekend marked the final time that EMU will compete as an affiliate member of the CAA as the Mid-American Conference has added rowing ahead of the 2025-26 academic year.
