Beck Tied for Fifth Heading into Final Round in Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) - Junior Thelma Beck (Baden, France-Lycee Sainte Anne) is tied for fifth place and Eastern Michigan University sits in fourth place in the team standings following Saturday's opening rounds of the Indiana Invitational.
Beck fired the Eagles' best round of the day with an even-par 72 in the second round to stand at five-over par 149 (77-72). Senior Kelsey Murphy (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) is tied for 14th with a 153 (78-75) after also shooting a three-over 75 in the afternoon.
Indiana's Alix Kong and Western Michigan's Anna Wilcoxson are tied atop the leaderboard at two-under 142 while host Indiana leads the team standings at 12-over 588. Western Michigan (598), Toledo (603), Eastern Michigan (619) and Illinois State (624) make up the top half of the 10-team field.
Penelope Guilleux (Saint Maur Des Fosse, France-Arsonval) and Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio-Anthony Wayne) rounded out the lineup with a 156 (79-77) and a 161 (85-76), respectively.
